Eleven students from the Arkansas School for Mathematics, Sciences, and the Arts earned recognition at the 2026 FBLA State Conference and qualified for the FBLA National Conference.
The state conference was held April 7-8 at the Statehouse Convention Center in Little Rock. Students competed in categories that included an objective subject test, performance or presentation or a combination of an objective test and a performance component. The top four competitors in each category qualified to compete at the national competition, which will be held June 29-July 2 in San Antonio.
Students who qualified for the national competition include:
- Team of juniors Christopher Koscinski of Scotland and Drake Smith of Mayflower, fourth place, Business Management;
- Senior Benjamin Dong of Arkadelphia, first place, Data Science and AI;
- Team of seniors Aarush Goyal of Bentonville, Kaitleen Toh of Little Rock and Luis Vidal Jr. of Fort Smith, second place, International Business;
- Sophomore Yana Pandit of Little Rock, first place, Intro to Parliamentary Procedure;
- Senior Miranda Lee of Conway, fourth place, Sales Presentation; and
- Team of junior Lexi Louden of Camden and senior Sophie Milton of Jonesboro, first place, Website Design.
Several other students also earned recognition in the state competition but did not qualify for the national competition. They include:
- Junior Khloe Keenom of Mount Judea, seventh place, Business Communication;
- Team of seniors Bailey Bray of Greenbrier, Dahlia Cortez-Woodard of Plainview and Lilly Gray of Conway, sixth place, Business Ethics;
- Senior Nathan Grady of Blytheville, fifth place, Data Analysis;
- Team of seniors Donovan Hurtarte of Little Rock and Winston Wang of Hope, 13th place, Financial Statement Analysis;
- Junior Isabel Gagnon of Salem, seventh place, Public Service Announcement; and
- Senior KC Cavin of Mount Vernon, ninth place, Visual Design.
