Current profession and company. Tell us what you do.

I am an oncology clinical research nurse practitioner. I provide clinical assessments and management of patients with cancer who are enrolled in the Phase I clinical trials at UAMS. Phase I clinical trials evaluate new medications and/or treatment modalities intended for humans.

 

What is the most challenging aspect of your work?

The most challenging aspect of my job is keeping informed of the latest advancements in cancer research.

 

What made you choose ASMSA?

I chose ASMSA because I wanted to benefit from the best education our state had to offer.

 

What are your fondest memories of the school?

The fondest memories include the lifetime connections I made while attending ASMSA. I also remember playing spades (and WINNING!) in our downtime.

 

What do you feel was the most important thing that you learned at ASMSA?

The most important thing that I learned at ASMSA is that I am more than enough. Period.
